Key definitions:Community - all the people living in an specific locality or a body of people that have something in common
Conflict model - conflict between the values of some and the values of others e.g. Socio-economic class or race and diversity
Policing needs to understand these complexities.

To work with the community more they have created 'community learning sites. This is where they take training out in the community usually in crime hot spots, using real members of the public and even visiting their homes to take witness statements as part of their training. They also visit and learn from community resources.
